Dataverse's Domain Name Server (DNS) Configuration System automates DNS management. The highly scalable system relies on a database of rules and business processes to perform reliable, high-speed DNS configuration for such high-volume environments as Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The system can be used to automatically configure DNS nameservers and zones and to generate BIND (Berkeley Internet Naming Directory, an industry standard) compliant zone files.

Dataverse's workflow engine is a highly flexible, modular system that makes decisions and executes tasks to accomplish almost any business goal and automate virtually any business process. The engine functions much like a nerve center: it is connected to many different modules, it receives stimuli from some modules in the form of information, and it routes that information to other modules to perform actions. It is rules based, deriving its "intelligence" or decisions from a database-driven set of business rules specific to a company's business processes.

Dataverse's workflow engine is currently implemented in highly scalable e-commerce Web sites, automating a traditionally paperwork-intensive manual process in order to streamline customer fulfillment and reduce cost.

Dataverse's e-mail parser is a system designed to analyze and route high-volume inbound e-mail based on relevant content. The system scans e-mail messages for specific words and phrases and then routes the messages to different destinations based on the results of the scan. Messages may be deleted based on specific content (e.g., e-mail spam or inappropriate content), may be responded to automatically with pre-established content or answers (e.g., "how do I…?" messages), or may be forwarded to particular divisions or individuals (e.g., sales, marketing, support, etc.).
